It is time again for the Ultimate Blog Party by 5 Minutes for Mom! Last year was my very first year joining in so it is fun to return a second time! It has grown so much since last year too!
Let me introduce myself to you!
My name is Wendy Wright and I have been writing Choosing Love since March 7, 2010 when I started journaling for a Celebrate Recovery Step Study and it turned into what you see here today.
I am a Disney nut through and through who often has a Vanilla Coke in one hand and enjoying my virtual water cooler of Social Media in the other.
I am a homeschooling mom of two boys, a third grader and kindergartner.
While having a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education has been helpful, I had to unlearn most of what I knew of a traditional classroom setting and adjust to what my boys need. Homeschooling may not be the best decision for every family, but it is for our family.
My six year old son would love you to know he has never had a haircut! My eight year old son would like you to know we adopted a Russian Tortoise recently.
Most often I am found behind the lens, where I am completely comfortable.
I am a photographer who is in love with my Canon EOS 50D camera! Just recently I have started to step in front of a video camera to explore vlogging and while I am still not that great at it I certainly do create a ton of blooper videos.
Just returned from my first conference!
Two weeks ago was my first conference, which was SheStreams and was held in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Since I was a newbie I wrote nine tips newbies need for first blogging conference success.
Writing several posts about my journey has certainly been fun by sharing it through a picture of my very first conference badge, video, pictures of amazing women, and my first Hotel Tour.
The highlight though was featuring four amazing women to watch in 2012 and I was honored to have my picture of Maria Bailey featured in the Miami Herald (picture 2)!
There is still one more post coming with my first time seeing the Atlantic Ocean and the special discovery.

Letting go of heartache and pain while learning to dance in the rain!
This is the focus of my blog. Letting go is a continual process for me and one I still have not mastered. There is so much to learn. Even as a Christian whose husband is in seminary I still get lost in the here and now of life. If there was just one word to describe my blog it is real.
Our family undertook a new journey, just revealed on my blog!

I love reading about others who are homeschooling! I started homeschooling my oldest this year and am loving it! It can be challenging some days as I also have a toddler at home, but somehow we manage, even if it means taking school out into the backyard.
